After 10 years of Military service in weapons electronics and computer aided targeting systems Dave chose to move to the private sector. His experience in the private sector boasts being Network Security Manager for Entrust designing systems for multiples verticals before meeting Amos at Lysander. Outside of work, Dave often completes challenges to raise money for multiple charities, his latest includes a skydive that raised £2500.
With 12 years under his belt, David Parker was the first employee undertaken by Acronyms. Having joined straight after finishing his degree at Plymouth University, David has proved his worth to the business countless times. As well as running both in-house and field support, David helps lead the business to year on year growth. David is currently in the process of moving to North Cornwall with his wife. When he does get out of the office, David is a keen surfer.
Joining the Acronyms team 9 years ago Linda is a proven veteran of Acronyms. Looking after accounts and finance she has played a very vital part of the company for a long time. Prior to Acronyms Linda has had a wide variety of jobs including working for the Bank of England. In her spare time Linda is an avid runner, and has already having completed 5 marathons including the London marathon.
A likeable and driven character, Tom has a number of years experience in the complex and competitive world of technology based Sales. Tom is focusing his career in the South West through Acronyms, his ambition and passion continue to drive him and Acronyms to the next phase of growth! Outside of the office, Tom continues to develop on a personal level whether that be travelling, a round of golf or a game of squash.
Frazer joined Acronyms with experience of cloud-based start-ups and the online accounting world. Having spent a number of years working away from the South West in London, Frazer was eager to return home and join a local company to aid their growth and development. He spends his free time following local football club Plymouth Argyle and NBA basketball team Oklahoma City Thunder.
Marcus joined the team in April last year. He has experience working with Geographical information systems and data with spatial content. Graduated from Exeter university with a degree in Internet Engineering. He has a keen interest in functional languages, embedded systems, and cloud computing. Outside interests include biodiversity and snorkelling.
A man with more “hats” than his job title suggests, Jamie often has his 3 monitors running with issues he is solving, equipment he is ordering and checking if he needs to do anything else that someone may need help with! Outside of his busy day, Jamie loves spending time with his wife and his “baby’s” (cars).
A veteran at Acronyms, Marks technical knowledge has proven itself invaluable on many occasions. An active and friendly team member, Marks often deals with clients with onsite issues. Having recently welcomed a bouncing baby girl to his family, it’s fair to say his free time is a thing of the past.
Spending most of his time travelling between different client sites, Nick is a rare sighting at the office. With all the running around he has to do, it’s a good thing Nick spends a great deal of his free time on his hobbies - cars.
Having joined Acronyms as an apprentice 5 years ago, Lee has proven himself as a capable and crucial team member. Often known by our clients as just a voice on the phone, Lee is one of our top problem solvers at Acronyms. Outside of work Lee loves to organize and lead local games and competitions with his friends.
Having joined Acronyms in 2015, Matt is still a relatively new member to the team. Matt’s specialties lie in his experience with IT Security. He has been working in IT and support for many years. In his free time he tends to spent it either with his two children or enjoying cycling.
Lewis joined the team in July of 2015 as an apprentice in IT Support. While he does IT support and computer imaging, he is specialising in hardware. He is looking to stay local and turn this apprenticeship into a long term career. In his free time Lewis is learning to drive and also enjoys computer gaming.
