After ten years of military service in weapon electronics and computer aided targeting systems, Dave chose to move to the private sector. His experience includes being a Network Security Manager and designing security systems for multiple verticals. Outside of work, Dave often completes challenges to raise money for multiple charities, which has included a sky dive that raised £2,500.
Acronyms’ other Dave was company’s first employee. Having joined after finishing his degree at Plymouth University, Dave has proved his worth to the business countless times, and now runs both in-house support and field support. He also helps lead the business to year on year growth. When he does get out of the office, Dave is a keen surfer.
A likeable and driven character, Tom has a number of years’ experience in the complex and competitive world of technology based sales. Tom is focusing his career in the South West and his ambition and passion continue to drive him and Acronyms to the next phase of growth. Outside of the office, Tom continues to develop on a personal level whether that be travelling, a round of golf or a game of squash.
Frazer joined Acronyms with experience of cloud-based start-ups and the online accounting world. Having spent a number of years working away from the South West in London, Frazer was eager to return home and join a local company to aid their growth and development. He spends his free time following local football club Plymouth Argyle and NBA basketball team Oklahoma City Thunder.
A man with more ‘hats’ than his job title suggests, Jamie often has his three monitors running with issues he is solving, equipment he is ordering and additional work, checking if he needs to help anyone else, with anything else. Outside of his busy day, Jamie loves spending time with his wife and his cars.
A veteran at Acronyms, Mark’s technical knowledge has proven itself invaluable on many occasions. An active and friendly team member, Mark often deals with clients who have onsite issues. Having recently welcomed a bouncing baby girl to his family, it’s fair to say his free time is a thing of the past.
Spending most of his time travelling between different client sites, Nick is a rare sight at the office. With all the running around he has to do, it’s a good thing Nick spends a great deal of his free time on his main hobby – cars.
Having joined Acronyms initially as an apprentice a number of years ago, Lee has proven himself as a capable and crucial team member. Often known by our clients as just a voice on the phone, Lee is one of our top problem solvers at Acronyms.Outside of work Lee loves to organise and lead local games and competitions with his friends.
Matt’s specialties lie in his experience with IT security having been working in IT and support for many years. He tends to spend his free time either with his two children or cycling.
Lewis joined the team as an apprentice in IT support. Whilst he handles IT support and computer imaging, he is specialising in hardware. In his free time Lewis enjoys driving and computer gaming.
Marcus has experience working with geographical information systems and data with spatial content. Having graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Internet Engineering he has a keen interest in functional languages, embedded systems and cloud computing. Outside interests of his include biodiversity and snorkelling.
Linda is an Acronyms veteran and by looking after the accounts and finance she has played a vital role of the company. Prior to Acronyms, Linda held a number of other positions, such as work for the Bank of England. In her spare time Linda is an avid runner, and has completed numerous marathons including the London Marathon.
